Sr. Cost Accountant

We are looking for a Sr. Cost Accountant to support cost analysis and inventory accounting activities for a Long-term Contract position in Conshohocken, Pennsylvania. This role will focus on providing insight into manufacturing performance, maintaining accurate cost records, and contributing to a reliable month-end close process. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical ability, sound accounting knowledge, and advanced Excel skills to help evaluate operational efficiency and financial results.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate inventory balances and costing data to ensure accurate valuation and reporting.
• Lead core cost accounting tasks during the month-end close, including reconciliations and related analysis.
• Maintain the integrity of cost accounting records, supporting ongoing updates to the cost ledger and associated systems.
• Review manufacturing activity and equipment usage to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improved performance.
• Prepare life cycle and cost-benefit analyses to support operational and financial decision-making.
• Analyze production costs and develop clear reporting that highlights key drivers affecting margins and efficiency.
• Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to clarify cost trends and support informed business decisions.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in manufacturing cost accounting.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas and data analysis functions.
• High level of accuracy and close attention to detail in financial analysis and reporting.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work across teams.
• Solid analytical and technical skills for interpreting manufacturing and cost data.
• Availability to work onsite in Conshohocken, Pennsylvania for up to two days is preferred.
