How MovoJobs uses your information.

Updated October 5, 2026. MovoJobs operates this site. Contact us with a privacy question or a request to access, correct, or delete your information.

Your account and saved jobs

We use your email address to send login codes and manage your account. Essential cookies keep you logged in. Your account can be used across MovoJobs and our Local city sites. Saved jobs belong to your MovoJobs account.

Login codes expire after five minutes. We do not ask for a password. If you choose Save before logging in, your browser briefly remembers that job so it can be saved after login.

Saved searches

We store your saved search, its name and your email settings with your account. Turning off emails keeps the search. You can remove it from Saved searches.

Job alerts

We use your email, search and chosen frequency to send the alerts you request. Your email must be verified through login or an alert confirmation link. Each email includes unsubscribe. Delivery records help prevent repeat emails.

Saved searches stay in your account until you remove them, even with email off. For alerts not saved to an account, we remove unconfirmed requests seven days after their link expires and unsubscribed alerts after 180 days.

Messages and reports

We store what you send through our forms, including your email if provided, to answer your request or review a listing. Do not include a résumé, identity documents, or other sensitive information. Messages older than 180 days are removed during routine cleanup. A short-lived form cookie and a protected sender identifier help limit spam.

Nearby jobs

Cloudflare can suggest a city from your IP address when you open the location field. This is an approximate area, not your precise location. We do not save the detected city to your account. You choose whether to use it for a search.

How the site is used

We count searches, empty results, job views, application-link clicks and filter use by day and phone or desktop. We measure loading, layout shifts and job-opening times by page type and site version. We may group counts by a known role or place. We do not store free-text searches, email, account IDs or visitor identifiers in these counts. An anonymous date in your browser helps count visits on later days. We skip these counts when your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control.

Our hosting and account services may process technical information needed to run and protect the site. We do not sell your account details or use advertising trackers.

We also count visits referred by Google, Bing, ChatGPT, Claude and Perplexity. Only the source name is counted. We do not send or store the referring page address, search terms or conversation details.

Google Analytics

If you allow analytics cookies, Google Analytics measures public page visits, job views, searches, filter choices, scrolling and clicks on Save, sign-in and application links. An Apply click does not tell us whether an application was completed. Google processes browser and device details, approximate location and referral sources, and uses cookies to recognize visits. We keep event data for 14 months. We leave advertising features off and do not send account details, search text or private page addresses. Photos and files

Your account photo is optional and private. We resize it and remove photo metadata. Photos and resumes are stored privately with DigitalOcean in the United States. You can remove them from your account. Replaced photos and unused resumes are deleted from file storage after one hour, during the next cleanup. Files already sent with an application stay with that application.

Applying for a job

Some jobs take you to another website, which has its own privacy practices. For those jobs, we do not receive your application or know whether you completed it. Other jobs let you apply here. Before sending, you choose the resume and details to share with that employer.

Resumes and applications

Your uploaded resumes are private. Only you and authorized members of an employer you apply to can download the version you send. Removing a resume from your list does not change a sent application. Withdrawing an application ends the employer’s access through this site. Sent applications remain in your private history. Contact us to request access, correction or deletion.

Employer accounts

We store company details, verification information, team access and posting history to manage listings. Approved job details are public. Verification notes and applications are private. Application notifications contain a link to the employer inbox, without resumes or candidate details.
