This is a Contract position focused on helping the HR team examine employee files, confirm documentation is complete, and follow up on missing employment records. The ideal candidate brings prior exposure to HR operations, compliance-driven documentation review, and sensitive records handling in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Examine employee personnel files to verify that required documents are present, accurate, and properly organized.
  • Identify missing or incomplete records and help track outstanding items needed for compliant file maintenance.
  • Assist with outreach and follow-up efforts to obtain unresolved Form I-9 documentation from employees when needed.
  • Support onboarding administration by confirming new employee paperwork is collected and retained according to HR standards.
  • Maintain confidentiality while handling employee information and other sensitive human resources documents.
  • Help prepare physical personnel records for accurate entry and storage within the electronic HR system.
  • Partner with HR team members to resolve file discrepancies and improve overall document readiness.
  • Contribute to screening-related and employee relations administrative tasks as assigned by the department.
  • Previous experience in human resources administration, HR support, or a closely related office environment.
  • Hands-on experience reviewing employee files, auditing documentation, or supporting compliance-related recordkeeping.
  • Familiarity with Form I-9 processes and employment eligibility documentation requirements is strongly preferred.
  • Exposure to HRIS platforms and electronic personnel record management is preferred.
  • Ability to manage confidential information with professionalism, discretion, and accuracy.
  • Strong organizational skills with careful attention to detail and follow-through on document collection tasks.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills for coordinating with employees and internal HR contacts.
