We are looking for an experienced Finance Manager to support key financial operations for a Contract position based in Kingston, New Hampshire. This role will guide core accounting and planning activities, deliver meaningful financial insights, and help leaders make informed business decisions. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical capability, hands-on reporting experience, and a solid background in managing month-end and forecasting processes.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the monthly close cycle by reviewing financial activity, preparing supporting schedules, and helping ensure timely and accurate results.
- Build and maintain financial models that support budgeting, scenario planning, and operational decision-making.
- Prepare clear and reliable financial reports for leadership, highlighting trends, risks, and performance drivers.
- Analyze financial results against plan and prior periods to identify variances and recommend next steps.
- Develop forecasts that reflect current business conditions and update projections as new information becomes available.
- Support grant-related accounting activities by tracking funding, monitoring compliance, and maintaining proper documentation.
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to gather inputs, improve financial visibility, and strengthen planning accuracy.
- 5+ years of experience in finance, accounting, or a related financial management role.
- Proven ability to manage month-end close activities and maintain accurate financial records.
- Strong experience creating financial models and using them to support planning and analysis.
- Background in financial reporting and variance analysis with a high level of attention to detail.
- Experience with forecasting, budgeting, and performance tracking.
- Knowledge of grant accounting principles and related reporting requirements.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present financial information clearly to business partners.
