We are looking for an Accounting Technician to join our client on a contract basis with the potential for a permanent position. This position supports high-volume billing operations and helps maintain accurate financial records while working closely with project managers, clients, and internal teams. The role is well suited for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable balancing invoice processing, account support, and day-to-day administrative accounting tasks.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review a large volume of monthly client invoices, ensuring billing rates, supporting details, and charge information are accurate before release.
- Coordinate invoice approvals with project managers and other internal stakeholders so billing can be completed on schedule each month.
- Issue invoices to clients, address billing-related questions, and provide clear follow-up to support timely resolution of discrepancies.
- Monitor project budgets and share status updates or billing information with clients when requested.
- Perform light collections activities for assigned accounts, including reviewing outstanding balances and following up on past-due items.
- Examine aging reports as needed to help identify overdue receivables and support account follow-up efforts.
- Generate billing from employee timesheet information and verify that submitted data aligns with client and project requirements.
- Provide backup support for accounts payable, accounts receivable, and front desk coverage when business needs require additional assistance.
- Experience handling invoice preparation, billing review, and payment follow-up in an accounting or clerical finance role.
- Ability to manage deadlines in a high-volume environment with strong attention to accuracy and completeness.
- Clear communication skills for interacting with clients, project managers, and internal team members.
- Familiarity with reviewing account balances, aging details, and other billing support reports.
