We are looking for a Systems Engineer to support and enhance our client's technology environment. This role focuses on maintaining secure, reliable infrastructure while helping end users and internal teams resolve technical issues efficiently. The ideal candidate brings strong experience with Microsoft platforms, virtualization, and cloud services, along with a practical understanding of cybersecurity and regulated environments.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and support core infrastructure platforms, including Windows Server, Active Directory, Exchange, Microsoft 365, Azure, and endpoint protection tools.
- Maintain and optimize virtual environments, virtual desktop solutions, and storage systems to ensure performance, availability, and scalability.
- Diagnose technical issues across servers, user systems, and network-connected services, and deliver timely resolution with a strong service mindset.
- Partner with colleagues across departments to implement system improvements, monitor operational health, and reduce technology risk.
- Apply security best practices and support compliance efforts within a banking or highly regulated environment.
- Assist with administration of cloud-based identity and collaboration tools, including Azure Active Directory and Microsoft Copilot capabilities where applicable.
- Document configurations, procedures, and support activities to promote consistency and efficient issue resolution.
- Travel as needed to provide on-site technical support, project assistance, or infrastructure maintenance.
- Demonstrated experience working with Microsoft Server technologies, Windows 11, Active Directory, Exchange, Microsoft 365, Azure, and antivirus administration.
- Strong knowledge of virtualization platforms, virtual desktop infrastructure, and storage area network architecture.
- Proven troubleshooting ability with a track record of delivering high-quality technical support and customer service.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity principles, and secure systems administration practices.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage priorities, solve problems creatively, and handle multiple tasks effectively.
