We are looking for a Dispatcher to support daily delivery operations in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. This opportunity focuses on coordinating routes, assisting drivers throughout the day, and helping maintain smooth workflow before, during, and after loadout. The ideal candidate is organized, comfortable using computer-based tools, and able to communicate clearly while managing multiple priorities on site.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate daily dispatch activities for a high-volume driver group, helping keep routes on schedule and operations running efficiently.
- Use company systems and digital tools to track deliveries, build route plans, and monitor driver progress throughout the shift.
- Support pre-loadout operations by receiving incoming trucks, organizing package sorting, staging routes, and preparing the hub for departure activities.
- Assist drivers during loadout by checking them in and out, resolving delivery-related questions, and reinforcing service, safety, and compliance expectations.
- Monitor active routes after departure, address failed-delivery issues, review proof-of-delivery documentation, and escalate payment, compliance, or technical concerns when needed.
- Help reset the dispatch floor after loadout, document unresolved items, and prepare clear handoff notes for the remote team covering later operations.
- Maintain a visible presence across the hub, yard, and dispatch area to support workflow, respond quickly to issues, and promote smooth coordination.
- Provide limited hands-on package sorting support during peak volume periods to help keep operations on track.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; no college degree is necessary for this role.
- Ability to provide a personal computer and reliable internet connection for two days of virtual training.
- Availability to work early morning or evening shifts and perform duties on site in a casual warehouse or hub setting.
- Proficiency with computer applications such as messaging platforms, spreadsheets, and dispatch-related systems.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to stay calm, take initiative, and work effectively under pressure.
- Clear and detail-oriented communication skills with a friendly, empathetic approach when supporting drivers and team members.
- Willingness to work indoors and outdoors as needed, remain active on the floor or in the yard, and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
- Spanish language skills are a plus.
