We are looking for an experienced Sr. Financial Analyst to support high-visibility finance activities for an organization in North Denver Metro, Colorado. This Long-term Contract position will play a key role in turning financial and operational data into meaningful reporting, insights, and recommendations for leadership. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical judgment, clear communication skills, and the ability to translate performance trends into actionable business context.
Responsibilities:
- Manage ongoing reporting activities across weekly, monthly, and forecasting cycles to ensure timely and accurate financial visibility.
- Update and enhance profit and loss reporting, leadership dashboards, regional performance summaries, and executive-level reporting deliverables.
- Evaluate financial outcomes alongside operating indicators to uncover trends, explain performance shifts, and highlight potential risks or areas for improvement.
- Create concise, decision-oriented commentary that clarifies variances, business results, and the factors influencing operational performance.
- Build presentation materials and financial summaries for FP&A leadership discussions and cross-functional stakeholder meetings.
- Perform ad hoc analysis to answer business questions, support planning needs, and guide data-driven decision-making.
- Use data mining and financial modeling techniques to strengthen reporting quality and identify meaningful performance drivers.
- Demonstrated experience in financial analysis within a corporate finance, FP&A, or related analytical environment.
- Strong capability in financial modeling and interpreting business performance through quantitative analysis.
- Proven ability to conduct variance analysis and explain results with clear, business-focused reasoning.
- Experience preparing management reporting, dashboards, and presentation materials for senior stakeholders.
- Proficiency in ad hoc financial analysis and synthesizing findings into actionable recommendations.
- Skilled in working with large datasets and applying data mining techniques to identify patterns and insights.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly.
