This is a great opportunity to join a sophisticated, entrepreneurial investment environment where you'll work closely with leadership and have exposure to a variety of accounting and investment operations. The firm offers a collaborative, close-knit culture, along with an attractive hybrid schedule that allows for 3–4 days of work from home each week.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and reconcile daily investment activity across client portfolios, including equities, options, foreign exchange, and derivative positions, using portfolio accounting and investment management systems.
  • Partner with portfolio managers, brokers, and other counterparties to monitor trade activity and ensure timely transaction settlement.
  • Support the operations of closed-end investment vehicles, including capital call calculations, transaction closings, and cash and treasury management.
  • Compile investment performance reports, portfolio summaries, and risk metrics for client and investor distribution.
  • Review monthly and quarterly fund NAVs, including investor allocations, waterfall calculations, and capital account statements.
  • Monitor corporate actions and reconcile activity against prime broker records to ensure accuracy.
  • Assist with the development and maintenance of client valuation procedures and expense allocation policies.
  • Coordinate and process payments to vendors across investment funds and management companies.
  • Leverage Bloomberg to review and update investment valuations and pricing.
  • Support annual audit and tax preparation processes by coordinating schedules, documentation, and deliverables.
  • Contribute to internal projects, process improvements, and other accounting and operational initiatives as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of relevant experience within financial services, ideally with exposure to fund accounting, alternative investments, and client-facing responsibilities.
  • Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and investment accounting principles.
  • Experience with fund operations, investment reconciliations, NAV reviews, investor allocations, and financial reporting.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Familiarity with financial reporting and planning systems; experience with Power BI and Adaptive is a plus.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-starter with a strong sense of ownership, integrity, and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Team-oriented professional who enjoys working in a sophisticated, entrepreneurial, and close-knit environment.
