We are looking for a part time (20 hours a week) detail-focused Data Entry Clerk to join a team that supports the accuracy of product information used in online retail environments. This contract position offers an opportunity to contribute to the review and maintenance of content tied to health, beauty, and other consumer goods. The role is well suited for someone who enjoys working carefully with structured data, identifying inconsistencies, and helping ensure high-quality information is ready for business use. Permanent and part-time schedules are available in an organized office setting.
Responsibilities:
- Examine product records to confirm details are accurate, complete, and aligned with established content standards.
- Compare incoming information from external data sources against internal guidelines and flag or correct discrepancies.
- Enter and update product-related data in a spreadsheet-style internal system with a high level of precision.
- Identify issues such as duplicate text, spacing problems, missing fields, formatting errors, and inconsistent language.
- Perform quality reviews of descriptions, attributes, and related digital content before information is released for use.
- Support data quality efforts across multiple stages of the retail supply chain, including manufacturer, wholesaler, and online channel content.
- Work with internal teams to resolve content issues and maintain dependable product information across systems.
- Follow client-specific requirements and compliance expectations when reviewing and validating records.
- Previous experience in data entry, quality review, administrative support, product content verification, or a related function is preferred.
- Strong typing and computer data entry skills with the ability to process information efficiently and accurately.
- Demonstrated attention to detail and the ability to detect errors in text, formatting, and structured data.
- Comfort working with large volumes of information in database or spreadsheet-like systems.
- Ability to stay organized and maintain consistency while handling repetitive tasks.
- Capable of working independently within defined procedures and meeting quality expectations.
- Experience in retail, ecommerce, supply chain support, or product data environments is a plus.
