We are looking for an Accounting Manager to lead core finance operations for a growing organization. This position is ideal for someone who has managed the full accounting cycle in a startup or similarly fast-paced environment and can bring structure to evolving processes. The role requires a hands-on, detail-oriented individual who is comfortable owning daily financial activities, improving workflows, and delivering reliable reporting to support business decisions.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the full monthly close process, ensuring timely completion of journal entries, reconciliations, and accurate general ledger activity.
- Direct day-to-day accounting operations across accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll coordination, and cash management activities.
- Monitor cash balances and support treasury operations by preparing wire transactions, reviewing cash positioning, and assembling approval materials for leadership.
- Produce dependable financial information and analysis that leadership can use to assess performance and make informed decisions.
- Strengthen accounting workflows by designing, refining, or improving financial systems and operating procedures as the business grows.
- Maintain accuracy across the ledger by reviewing account activity, resolving discrepancies, and supporting audit-ready financial records.
- Use spreadsheets and accounting platforms to analyze transactions, validate data integrity, and build confidence in reported results.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to establish scalable processes suited to a dynamic, early-stage business environment.
- At least 5 years of experience in accounting or finance operations, with a strong record of progressive ownership.
- Background managing end-to-end financial operations rather than supporting only isolated parts of the process.
- Proven experience handling month-end close, general ledger activity, account reconciliations, and journal entry preparation.
- Familiarity with treasury-related tasks, including wire preparation, cash movement coordination, and liquidity tracking.
- Demonstrated success improving accounting systems, controls, or processes in a growing or changing organization.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets, with practical fluency in accounting software; experience with QuickBooks, Campfire, or Ramp is a plus.
- Prior exposure to startup or early-stage companies and the ability to work effectively in environments with shifting priorities and limited structure.
