What You'll Do:
- Lead the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
- Manage the general ledger, account reconciliations, and financial reporting activities
- Supervise and mentor accounting staff, providing guidance and professional development
- Review journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and supporting documentation
- Assist with the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and cash flow reporting
- Partner with department leaders to provide financial analysis and operational support
- Coordinate external audits and work closely with auditors, tax advisors, and other external partners
- Evaluate and improve accounting processes, controls, and reporting efficiencies
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
- Support special projects, system implementations, and organizational initiatives as needed
Salary Range: $95,000 - $120,000
What We're Looking For:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Prior experience leading projects, mentoring staff, or managing a team
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting principles
- Proficiency with accounting software and advanced Excel skills
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution
Preferred Qualifications:
- CPA preferred but not required
- Public accounting experience is a plus
- Experience working in a multi-entity, project-based, manufacturing, nonprofit, or service-oriented environment is a plus
Why Consider This Opportunity?:
- Competitive compensation and benefits package
- High level of visibility with senior leadership
- Opportunity to influence processes and drive improvements
- Stable organization with long-term growth plans
- Collaborative culture that values initiative and new ideas
- Clear path for continued career progression within the finance organization
