We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to oversee accounting and financial activities for a private family office in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. This role will manage the accounting, reporting, cash flow, and financial operations for multiple family-owned entities, investments, and personal financial matters while ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance. his position plays a key role in maintaining accurate records, supporting financial visibility, and ensuring reporting is completed in a timely manner. The ideal candidate brings strong technical accounting knowledge, sound judgment, and the ability to manage detailed financial processes with consistency and discretion.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations for personal financial matters involving multiple entities.
- Lead monthly close activities by reviewing transactions, finalizing entries, and ensuring deadlines are met.
- Maintain the general ledger with accuracy and prepare journal entries to properly reflect financial activity.
- Complete account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies to keep records balanced and reliable.
- Perform bank reconciliations and resolve outstanding items in coordination with relevant stakeholders.
- Prepare financial reports that summarize results, support decision-making, and provide clear visibility into account activity.
- Monitor financial data for completeness and compliance with established accounting practices.
- Support additional accounting projects and process-related tasks as needed within a multi-entity environment.
- At least 2 years of accounting experience in a senior-level or closely related accounting role.
- Hands-on experience managing accounting functions across multiple entities.
- Strong working knowledge of month-end close procedures, general ledger maintenance, and journal entry preparation.
- Demonstrated ability to perform account reconciliations and bank reconciliations with a high level of accuracy.
- Experience preparing financial reports and presenting clear, organized financial information.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to handle sensitive financial information professionally.
- Proficiency with standard accounting systems and spreadsheet tools used for financial analysis and reporting.
