Position Summary Robert Half is interested in connecting with iOS Software Engineers who enjoy creating mobile applications that solve real-world operational challenges. We are developing our network of mobile developers for potential client opportunities in transportation, logistics, fleet management, and mobility technology. Engineers in these environments build applications that help drivers, dispatchers, field service professionals, and operations teams stay connected and productive. We are particularly interested in candidates who understand native iOS development and have experience delivering dependable applications that continue functioning in environments with unreliable connectivity, heavy location usage, or demanding operational workflows. Key Areas of Responsibility
- Design, build, and maintain native iOS applications using Swift and SwiftUI.
- Develop mobile features supporting vehicle tracking, driver workflows, dispatch updates, and delivery management.
- Integrate GPS and location-based functionality using Core Location and MapKit.
- Build offline-capable application workflows with local data storage, synchronization, and appropriate conflict-handling strategies.
- Implement push notifications for operational alerts, schedule updates, and time-sensitive communications.
- Integrate secure RESTful APIs with backend platforms responsible for shipment, asset, or operational data.
- Maintain and enhance existing UIKit applications while gradually adopting modern SwiftUI components.
- Implement application architecture patterns such as MVVM and create reusable mobile components.
- Investigate crashes, memory issues, background execution limitations, and performance problems.
- Create and maintain automated unit and UI tests using XCTest or equivalent tools.
- Participate in application signing, provisioning, TestFlight distribution, and App Store release processes.
- Collaborate with backend developers, product designers, Android engineers, and operational teams to deliver consistent mobile experiences.
- Participate in technical reviews and support continuous improvement of application reliability and maintainability.
