Job Description Our client is seeking an organized and people-focused HR Specialist to support daily human resources operations in their Somerville, Alabama office. This in-person role is ideal for a detail oriented with experience in employee support, onboarding, records administration, policy compliance, and HR process coordination. The HR Specialist will partner with managers and employees to help maintain smooth HR operations, support a positive workplace culture, and ensure accurate handling of confidential personnel information. Key Responsibilities Support day-to-day HR operations, including employee records, documentation, and policy administration Coordinate onboarding and new-hire paperwork to support a smooth employee experience Assist with recruiting support activities, including scheduling interviews and communicating with candidates Respond to employee questions regarding HR policies, procedures, and general workplace matters Maintain HR files, databases, and reporting with a high degree of accuracy and confidentiality Help support benefits administration, leave tracking, and compliance-related documentation Partner with leadership on employee relations matters and workforce support needs Assist with training coordination, performance documentation, and process improvement initiatives Ensure HR practices align with company policies and employment regulations Qualifications Previous experience in human resources, administrative support, or employee operations Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion and professionalism Experience with HRIS, ATS, Microsoft Office, or related business systems preferred Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Knowledge of HR processes, onboarding, employee relations, and compliance practices preferred Preferred Skills Employee relations support Recruiting coordination Onboarding and orientation HR documentation and reporting Policy and compliance support Cross-functional communication Process improvement mindset
