Accounting & Bookkeeping Consultant - Direct Hire
Robert Half Full-Time Engagement Professionals Program (FTEP) Robert Half is seeking accounting and bookkeeping professionals who are looking for the stability of a full-time role combined with the variety of project-based work.
As a Full-Time Engagement Professional, you'll be a permanent employee of Robert Half and work on-site or remotely with a variety of client companies throughout Hawaii. Assignments typically last 3 to 4 months and may include covering employee leaves, supporting growth initiatives, assisting with backlogs, or helping clients through special accounting projects.
This role is ideal for professionals who enjoy learning new systems, building relationships quickly, and stepping into accounting environments where they can make an immediate impact.
Responsibilities:
Depending on the assignment, responsibilities may include:
- Accounts payable and accounts receivable processing
- Bank and account reconciliations
- General ledger maintenance and journal entries
- Month-end and year-end close support
- Payroll processing and payroll reconciliations
- Financial reporting and variance analysis
- Account clean-up and backlog reduction projects
- Audit preparation and support
- Data entry and record maintenance
- Process improvement and documentation
- Assisting accounting teams during periods of transition, growth, or increased workload
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of accounting, bookkeeping, payroll, AP, AR, or general accounting experience
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
- Experience using accounting software such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar systems
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to adapt quickly to new environments and procedures
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Reliable transportation and flexibility to work at various client locations as needed
