We are looking for a detail-oriented Full Charge Bookkeeper to support a growing small business environment in Auburndale, Massachusetts. This position is 32 hours a week Monday- Friday 9:30am-4pm. Must be able to work onsite for a small size business to manage accounting activities across several business lines while helping bring structure to evolving financial processes. The ideal candidate is comfortable working onsite, can handle full-cycle bookkeeping independently, and brings strong experience with QuickBooks Online and multi-entity accounting.
Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping for multiple entities spanning real estate, e-commerce, wellness, and retail operations.
- Perform account reconciliations regularly to maintain accurate financial records and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Complete month-end and periodic close activities to ensure timely and reliable reporting.
- Prepare financial statements and other accounting reports to support business visibility and decision-making.
- Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable activities, ensuring transactions are recorded correctly and on schedule.
- Help organize and establish accounting records within the current system while supporting potential future transitions to other accounting platforms.
- Maintain accurate books across diverse industries and adapt accounting practices to the needs of each business.
- Partner closely with the business owner to provide dependable bookkeeping support in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial setting.
- At least 5 years of accounting or full-charge bookkeeping experience.
- Hands-on proficiency with QuickBooks Online.
- Demonstrated background handling accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
- Experience managing bookkeeping for multiple entities or businesses with varied operations.
- Knowledge of construction-related accounting is required.
- Must be based locally and able to work onsite in Auburndale, Massachusetts.
- Ability to work independently and maintain accuracy in a one-person, startup-style environment.
