We are looking for a detail-oriented Financial Analyst to join a growing team. This contract position with permanent potential is ideal for someone who enjoys turning financial data into meaningful business insight and supporting decision-making through thoughtful analysis. The role is primarily onsite, with the possibility of a hybrid schedule after the first 90 days, and offers the opportunity to contribute during a high-demand period while building long-term value for the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze financial results and operational data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities that support business planning.
- Build and maintain financial models that assist with forecasting, budgeting, and scenario evaluation for management decisions.
- Perform variance reviews by comparing actual performance against budgets, forecasts, and prior periods, then communicate key findings clearly.
- Prepare ad hoc analyses and reporting materials to address changing business needs and leadership requests.
- Use data mining techniques to gather, organize, and interpret large sets of financial information from multiple sources.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to improve visibility into performance metrics and strengthen financial reporting accuracy.
- Translate complex financial information into concise summaries and recommendations for non-financial audiences.
- Support ongoing process improvements within finance operations to increase efficiency, consistency, and data reliability.
- At least 3 years of experience in financial analysis, corporate finance, or a closely related accounting or analytical role.
- Demonstrated ability to create financial models and use them to support forecasting and business decision-making.
- Experience conducting variance analysis and explaining financial performance drivers with clarity and accuracy.
- Strong skills in ad hoc reporting and the ability to respond effectively to shifting priorities and business questions.
- Hands-on experience working with large data sets and applying data mining methods to extract actionable insight.
- Advanced analytical thinking with strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in financial work.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present findings in a clear and understandable manner.
