Our client is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead strategic finance and operational transformation initiatives. This role will partner closely with Finance, Accounting, Treasury, Tax, Procurement, and Technology teams to drive process improvements, system enhancements, and AI-enabled solutions across the organization. The ideal candidate will bring a strong blend of project management expertise, finance process knowledge, and experience leading cross-functional business transformation efforts.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage complex projects across Finance, Treasury, Tax, Purchasing, and process automation functions.
- Develop project plans, timelines, milestones, resource allocations, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Partner with Finance and Accounting leadership to align systems, workflows, and business processes with organizational objectives.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams including Finance, IT, Procurement, Operations, and external vendors to ensure successful project execution.
- Gather and translate business requirements into actionable project plans and implementation strategies.
- Support AI and automation initiatives by identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, reporting, and decision-making processes.
- Oversee change management activities, stakeholder communication, training, and adoption efforts.
- Monitor project performance, resolve issues, and ensure deliverables are completed on time and within scope.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance scalability, standardization, and operational effectiveness.
- Prepare executive-level project updates, including progress reports, risks, key decisions, and recommendations.
- 5+ years of project management experience leading finance, accounting, ERP, or business transformation initiatives.
- Strong understanding of finance and accounting processes, including Procure-to-Pay (P2P), Order-to-Cash (O2C), Record-to-Report (R2R), financial reporting, treasury, and tax operations.
- Experience partnering with Controllers, Accounting teams, Finance leadership, and operational stakeholders.
- Demonstrated experience managing multiple workstreams, priorities, and cross-functional teams.
- Working knowledge of project management methodologies, including Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid approaches.
- Experience supporting system implementations, process improvements, or digital transformation projects.
- Exposure to AI, automation, or advanced technology solutions within finance or business operations strongly preferred.
- Experience within financial services, fintech, payment processing, or highly regulated environments is a plus.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
Technology Experience Preferred
- Microsoft Power BI, Microsoft Power Automate, Microsoft Project. Advanced Microsoft Excel
- ERP platforms such as MS D365, NetSuite, or similar systems
