We are looking for a Dispatcher to support transportation operations in area of Woodbridge , New Jersey. Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily transportation assignments and adjust route coverage to keep operations running efficiently.
- Stay in regular contact with drivers, aides, and dispatch teammates to communicate updates and resolve scheduling needs.
- Handle unexpected absences, call-outs, and same-day changes by quickly identifying coverage solutions.
- Monitor route activity throughout the day and share timely status updates with the appropriate personnel.
- Troubleshoot service-related issues as they arise and help coordinate practical resolutions.
- Keep dispatch logs, scheduling details, and operational records accurate and up to date.
- Partner with the broader dispatch team to balance priorities and support consistent on-time service.
- Contribute to smooth day-to-day transportation operations by anticipating needs and responding to peak-period demands
- Prior experience in dispatching, transportation coordination, logistics, scheduling, customer service, or a related field is preferred.
- Strong ability to organize tasks, manage time effectively, and maintain accuracy in a fast-moving environment.
- Clear verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with drivers, staff, and support teams.
- Comfort handling multiple priorities at once while making sound decisions under time-sensitive conditions.
- Working knowledge of computer systems and scheduling or dispatch software.
- Dependable work style with strong attention to detail and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Experience with dispatching, logistics coordination, call center support, or computer-aided dispatch tools is a plus.
