This Contract position plays a key role in coordinating driver assignments, preparing shipments for departure, and keeping last-mile operations running smoothly throughout the day. Responsibilities:
- Prepare daily outbound operations by organizing packages and arranging driver routes for efficient dispatch.
- Scan, tag, and sort shipments accurately to support timely processing and shipment visibility.
- Oversee active delivery routes and adjust plans as needed to improve efficiency and service levels.
- Verify geofence data and address routing discrepancies that could affect delivery accuracy.
- Investigate and resolve package-related issues quickly, including exceptions, failed drop-offs, and missing items.
- Track shipment progress and update delivery statuses to maintain accurate operational records.
- Coordinate schedules for independent contractor drivers and align assignments with daily demand.
- Maintain adequate driver coverage to support on-time deliveries across assigned service areas.
- Respond to operational communications through live chat systems and provide timely support to drivers and internal teams.
- Review proof-of-delivery photos to confirm completion standards and identify any documentation concerns.
- Experience in dispatching, logistics coordination, or transportation operations.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving warehouse or delivery environment.
- Strong customer service and communication skills, including experience handling real-time operational issues.
- Proficiency with computer-based dispatch or shipment tracking systems.
- Skilled in coordinating driver schedules, routes, and delivery coverage.
