We are looking for a dependable Dispatcher to join a Contract assignment in Fort Worth, Texas. This position will play a key role in supporting daily hub activity by coordinating dispatch operations, guiding workflow, and helping keep service performance on track in a fast-moving logistics setting. The ideal candidate is comfortable making timely decisions, working with both people and systems, and contributing on the floor when operational demands increase.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day dispatch coordination to support smooth hub performance and consistent execution across shifts.
- Provide direction and hands-on support to dispatcher team members to keep work organized and priorities aligned.
- Track hub activity in real time, identify bottlenecks, and take action to reduce delays or service disruptions.
- Confirm drivers are assigned and released efficiently so deliveries and transportation schedules remain on target.
- Observe warehouse floor operations and address developing issues before they impact productivity or customer service.
- Step into operational tasks as needed during busy periods to help the team maintain workflow and service expectations.
- Balance staffing and workload demands during peak volume windows, including occasional later shifts as business needs change.
- Use dispatch and communication tools to coordinate logistics updates, document activity, and share information with internal teams.
- Prior experience in dispatching, logistics coordination, or a related transportation support environment.
- Strong computer proficiency, including practical use of Excel, Google Sheets, and Slack.
- Ability to manage several competing priorities while maintaining accuracy and urgency.
- Comfortable splitting time between desk-based system work and active involvement on the warehouse floor.
- Effective leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced setting.
- Background in customer service, call center support, or computer-aided dispatch is valued.
- Ability to make sound operational decisions quickly based on changing conditions and live workflow demands.
