We are seeking a Cloud Network Engineer with strong experience designing, implementing, and supporting cloud-based networking solutions across multiple cloud platforms. This role will focus on cloud networking, firewall administration, load balancing, connectivity, security, and infrastructure optimization in complex enterprise environments. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with at least two major cloud platforms (AWS, Microsoft Azure, and/or Google Cloud Platform) and a strong understanding of network architecture, cloud security, and hybrid connectivity.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain cloud network architectures across AWS, Azure, and/or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Configure and support cloud-native and third-party firewalls, including policy management, VPNs, NAT, and security controls.
- Design, deploy, and manage load balancing solutions for high availability and application performance.
- Implement and support hybrid cloud connectivity, including site-to-site VPNs, ExpressRoute, Direct Connect, Cloud Interconnect, and SD-WAN solutions.
- Manage virtual networks, subnets, routing tables, DNS, and network security groups.
- Monitor network performance, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and resolve infrastructure incidents.
- Collaborate with systems, security, and application teams to deliver secure and scalable cloud solutions.
- Perform cloud network capacity planning and optimization initiatives.
- Support infrastructure automation efforts using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools.
- Participate in architecture reviews and cloud migration initiatives.
- Develop and maintain network diagrams, technical documentation, and operational procedures.
- Ensure compliance with security and governance standards.
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience. 5+ years of network engineering experience. 3+ years of cloud networking experience.
Hands-on experience with at least two of the following cloud platforms:
- Amazon Web Services (AWS)
- Microsoft Azure
- Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
Strong experience with:
- Cloud networking services and architecture
- Firewalls (Palo Alto, Fortinet, Check Point, Cisco, or cloud-native firewalls)
- Load balancing technologies
- Routing, switching, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and WAN technologies
- VPN and hybrid connectivity solutions
Experience troubleshooting complex network and security issues. Knowledge of network monitoring and performance management tools.
