We are looking for a Buyer to join our team in Westlake, Ohio in a contract capacity with the potential to become permanent. This fully onsite role supports the day-to-day purchasing cycle for network and security equipment, from order placement through delivery coordination and inventory handling. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and comfortable working independently in an environment where processes may need to be built or refined along the way.
Responsibilities:
- Manage purchase orders from creation through completion, ensuring accurate entry, timely follow-up, and proper documentation.
- Coordinate the procurement of network and security equipment while monitoring order status, delivery timelines, and vendor commitments.
- Track inbound and outbound shipments, confirm receipts, and support shipping activities for equipment as needed.
- Maintain clear and effective communication with distributors and suppliers to resolve order questions, delays, and availability issues.
- Use business systems and inventory tools, including Halo, Ramp, Sage Intacct, and Microsoft Office, to support purchasing and recordkeeping activities.
- Help maintain a steady workflow by identifying issues early, resolving routine purchasing obstacles, and keeping priorities on schedule.
- Assist with inventory-related processes by updating records and confirming that equipment movement is accurately reflected in internal systems.
- Support month-end purchasing deadlines by adjusting to higher activity levels or extended hours when business needs require it.
- Previous experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain support within a fast-paced business environment.
- Ability to manage multiple orders and priorities with strong attention to detail and follow-through.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Office and comfort learning or using procurement, inventory, or accounting platforms.
- Familiarity with Halo is strongly preferred, as it plays a key role in inventory-related workflows.
- Experience working with systems such as Ramp and Sage Intacct is preferred.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with limited direction.
- Physical ability to handle and move large boxes as part of shipping and receiving responsibilities.
