We are looking for an Accounting Manager to join our team and oversee a broad range of core accounting activities in a fast-paced business setting. This role is ideal for a hands-on, detail-oriented individual who can balance day-to-day transaction oversight with more complex financial reporting, compliance, and analysis. The Accounting Manager will play a key role in maintaining accurate records, supporting audits and regulatory filings, and strengthening accounting processes across the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily accounting operations, including workflow coordination, shared finance communications, and the timely completion of routine accounting activities.
- Administer the vendor invoice cycle by reviewing submissions, addressing discrepancies, responding to supplier questions, and helping ensure payments are processed according to schedule.
- Maintain the accuracy of financial data in NetSuite and related systems, with responsibility for reconciliations and the integrity of supporting records.
- Manage accounting for fixed assets and prepaid expenses by tracking additions and disposals, preparing depreciation and amortization entries, and reconciling balances to the general ledger.
- Support payroll-related accounting through data review, import preparation, journal entries, and the allocation of employee benefit and insurance costs.
- Evaluate customer credit documentation, assist with approval workflows, and monitor company credit card usage, spending controls, and purchasing limits.
- Prepare and submit required tax and regulatory filings, maintain licenses and registrations, and coordinate recurring reporting obligations for governmental and industry agencies.
- Compile schedules and documentation for external auditors, financial reviewers, insurance audits, and year-end compliance requirements.
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting procedures, strengthen internal controls, and enhance reporting capabilities through process and system improvements.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- At least 5 years of progressively responsible accounting experience.
- Solid knowledge of general ledger activity, account reconciliation, and full-cycle accounting practices.
- Experience handling accounts payable, fixed asset accounting, prepaid schedules, and payroll-related entries.
- Background supporting tax filings, regulatory compliance, and audit preparation.
- Proficiency with accounting systems, with NetSuite experience strongly preferred.
- Advanced Excel capabilities, including the ability to analyze data and work with pivot tables.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage competing deadlines effectively.
