Bridget Killen with Robert Half is partnering with a growing organization in the Eugene area to identify an Accountant with payroll experience who enjoys being involved in both the day-to-day accounting functions and payroll process. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who is comfortable owning payroll, managing accounts payable, processing employee expenses, and supporting month-end accounting activities.
What You'll Do
- Process and submit payroll accurately and on schedule
- Manage accounts payable and vendor payment processing
- Review, code, and reconcile employee expense reports
- Perform bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies
- Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations
- Assist with month-end and year-end close activities
- Maintain accurate payroll, accounting, and financial records
- Support general ledger activities and financial reporting
- Collaborate with employees, vendors, and leadership on payroll and accounting matters

- 3+ years of accounting experience
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Experience working in small to mid-sized organizations
- Multi-state payroll experience a plus
- Experience processing and submitting payroll from start to finish
- Accounts payable, expense management, and bank reconciliation experience
- Strong understanding of general ledger accounting
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience with payroll and accounting software
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Ability to prioritize multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
