Senior Accountant | High-Growth Food Services & Catering Company | NYC I'm excited to be partnering with a rapidly growing, mid-sized leader in the food services and catering industry. This organization supports an impressive roster of clients, including globally recognized brands and some of the most prestigious names in professional sports. Due to continued growth, the company is looking to add a Senior Accountant to its finance team. Reporting into accounting leadership, this role will be a key contributor to the month-end close process and provide broad exposure to financial reporting and business operations.
As always, these are permanent, full time, fully benefited salaried positions (these are NOT temp, or temp to perm).
They are located near JFK, 5 days in office.
Compensation is based on experience:
The range is between $90k - $115k base + bonus
What You'll Be Doing:
✅ Own and support general ledger accounting across multiple business units ✅ Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations ✅ Drive month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities ✅ Ensure compliance with US GAAP and internal accounting policies ✅ Assist with financial statement preparation and management reporting ✅ Analyze account activity, investigate variances, and support audit requests ✅ Partner with operational leaders to ensure financial accuracy and support business growth ✅ Contribute to process improvements within a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
What We're Looking For:
✔ 3+ years of accounting experience ✔ Strong knowledge of US GAAP and general ledger accounting ✔ Hands-on experience with month-end close, reconciliations, and accrual accounting ✔ Experience supporting financial reporting processes ✔ Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and large data analysis ✔ Bachelor's degree in Accounting strongly preferred; Finance degrees will also be considered ✔ CPA or public accounting experience is a plus
