Dispatcher

We are looking for a Dispatcher to support daily last-mile delivery operations in Maple Heights, Ohio. This Contract position has full time, part time and seasonal part time shifts available. The role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced logistics setting, can manage multiple priorities at once, and is comfortable working closely with drivers and on-site teams. The role combines real-time coordination, issue resolution, and operational support to help keep routes moving efficiently and service standards high.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate day-to-day delivery activity for a high-volume driver network, helping maintain smooth route execution and timely service.
• Use dispatch and tracking systems to build, review, and monitor routes, while responding quickly to changes throughout the day.
• Support site readiness before departures by assisting with inbound truck receipt, organizing packages, and preparing routes for driver loadout.
• Check drivers in and out, answer operational questions, and provide guidance on delivery procedures, compliance expectations, and performance standards.
• Monitor drivers while they are on route, investigate service issues, and escalate technical, payment, or compliance concerns when needed.
• Review proof-of-delivery records and identify missing or incorrect documentation to help maintain quality and accountability.
• Reconcile undelivered or failed packages, complete risk-related reporting when appropriate, and document key issues for follow-up.
• Help reset the work area after dispatch activity and prepare clear handoff notes for teams covering later operations.
• Step in to assist with package sorting during heavier volume periods to support overall hub performance and coverage needs.
• Previous experience in dispatching, logistics coordination, or a similar transportation support role.
• Strong computer proficiency, including comfort learning and using dispatch, routing, or transportation management systems.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-moving warehouse or distribution environment.
• Effective communication skills with the ability to support drivers, respond to questions, and coordinate with operations teams.
• Customer service mindset with sound judgment when resolving delivery or documentation issues.
• Willingness to remain active on the floor and assist operationally where coverage is needed.
• Reliable home internet access for initial virtual training and remote onboarding activities.
