We are looking for a Software Developer to join a construction-focused organization in Appleton, Wisconsin on a contract basis with the potential for a permanent role. The position calls for strong experience with C# and the .NET ecosystem, along with the ability to contribute within an enterprise environment and support web-based application development.
Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain business applications using C#, .NET, and ASP.NET technologies.
- Partner with internal users and cross-functional teams to gather needs, translate requirements, and deliver effective software solutions.
- Develop and enhance web-based features with JavaScript and related front-end technologies to improve usability and performance.
- Write, optimize, and support SQL queries and database interactions that underpin core application functionality.
- Contribute to application updates, issue resolution, and ongoing enhancements across enterprise-level systems.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and technical documentation to promote quality, stability, and maintainability.
- Support work tied to broader application initiatives, including projects that may involve mobile or modern UI technologies such as Blazor or Flutter.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot production issues and implement timely, reliable fixes.
- 5+ years of software development experience, with a background that demonstrates increasing technical responsibility.
- Strong hands-on expertise with C# and the .NET Framework in a software development setting.
- Experience building or supporting applications with ASP.NET and JavaScript.
- Working knowledge of SQL and the ability to develop against relational databases.
- Exposure to enterprise-level application environments and structured development practices.
- Ability to communicate effectively with internal business users and translate operational needs into technical solutions.
- Experience with Blazor is a plus.
- Familiarity with Flutter or other mobile development technologies is helpful.
