We are looking for a Help Desk Support Technician I to provide frontline technical assistance for a manufacturing operation in California. This contract position is ideal for someone who enjoys solving everyday IT issues, supporting end users, and keeping service requests moving efficiently. The role focuses on delivering dependable desktop and help desk support while maintaining clear communication and accurate documentation.
Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and resolve routine issues involving desktops, software applications, user access, and basic network connectivity.
- Direct more advanced technical problems to higher-level support teams while ensuring tickets include complete and accurate details.
- Record, monitor, and update incidents and service requests in the ticketing system from initial intake through resolution.
- Provide timely, attentive support to end users and keep them informed on progress, next steps, and expected timelines.
- Maintain and improve support guides, process documentation, and knowledge base content to strengthen service delivery.
- Support account-related tasks such as password assistance, user access requests, and basic Active Directory administration.
- Follow established IT service procedures, operational standards, and response expectations to meet service commitments.
- At least 2 years of experience in help desk, desktop support, or a similar technical support role.
- Hands-on experience supporting Microsoft Windows environments, including Windows 10 and Windows 11.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 tools such as Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, and OneDrive.
- Familiarity with service desk platforms, ticket tracking systems, and remote support tools.
- Basic understanding of desktop hardware, peripherals, networking fundamentals, and general troubleshooting methods.
- Experience with Active Directory and common user administration tasks.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a customer-focused approach in a fast-paced setting.
