Robert Half is actively recruiting for a knowledgeable, accomplished senior level Accounting Consultant with deep/ extensive NetSuite experience to support our privately held equipment rental client. The Accounting Consultant will support historical data migration from Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, and be responsible for extracting, normalizing, loading, and reconciling financial data to ensure a complete and accurate conversion across four entities. This role will be located onsite / hybrid in Santa Fe Springs, CA.
Responsibilities
Extract and validate data from Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. Prepare and load data into NetSuite conversion templates. Extensive NetSuite experience - must have Reconcile converted data to source-system balances. Validate monthly financial statements and trial balances for four companies. Research and resolve data, mapping, and conversion discrepancies.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. 5+ years of accounting, ERP conversion, or financial systems experience. Hands-on NetSuite experience required. Strong GL accounting, financial reporting, and data analysis skills. Advanced account reconciliation experience. Experience supporting ERP implementations, data migrations, and system conversions. Advanced Excel skills.
Ideal Consultant will have:
Strong accountant with a systems and data conversion mindset. Extensive NetSuite experience Able to understand, normalize, import, and reconcile complex financial data. Detail-oriented and capable of validating every trial balance account through conversion and post-migration testing. Experienced working in multi-entity environments and ensuring data integrity throughout the implementation process.
- 5+ years of accounting or controllership experience in a hands-on financial leadership capacity.
- Strong working knowledge of NetSuite Financials, including reporting and general ledger functionality.
- Demonstrated experience producing and analyzing core financial statements and related accounting data.
- Solid understanding of accounting systems, financial controls, and established accounting principles.
- Proven ability to identify issues, investigate root causes, and implement effective solutions.
- High attention to detail with a commitment to data accuracy and reporting quality.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and business teams.
- Experience with process improvement, business analysis, or accounting workflow optimization is preferred.
