We are looking for an Accountant to support day-to-day financial operations for a contract opportunity based in Austin, Texas. This Contract position is ideal for a mid-level accounting candidate with experience in advertising or media environments, particularly in billing, payables, and vendor reconciliation. The role will focus on maintaining accurate financial records, reviewing transaction data, and helping ensure timely processing across accounts payable and receivable activities.
Responsibilities:
- Process vendor invoices accurately and enter payment-related data into accounting systems in a timely manner.
- Coordinate with suppliers to resolve invoice questions, complete vendor setup tasks, and maintain current records.
- Review financial data for accuracy by checking key details such as vendor information and transaction coding.
- Support accounts payable activities, including tracking outstanding items and assisting with reconciliation efforts.
- Perform account reconciliations across payables, receivables, and bank-related transactions to maintain clean ledgers.
- Prepare and post journal entries while helping keep the general ledger accurate and up to date.
- Assist with media billing functions and use MediaOcean to manage billing and reconciliation-related tasks where needed.
- Detail-oriented experience in accounting with a focus on accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger support.
- Background in advertising or media billing environments, including vendor and invoice reconciliation activities.
- Hands-on ability to enter invoices, review transaction details, and maintain accurate accounting records.
- Experience preparing journal entries and completing account and bank reconciliations.
- Familiarity with MediaOcean or similar billing and finance platforms used in media organizations.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify inconsistencies in financial data.
- Proficiency working with accounting systems and spreadsheets in a fast-paced contract assignment.
