About the Opportunity Our client is a growing commercial general contractor seeking an experienced Senior Traveling Superintendent to oversee restaurant and quick-service restaurant (QSR) construction projects throughout San Antonio and surrounding markets. This role is ideal for a superintendent who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys managing multiple projects, and has a strong track record delivering ground-up and renovation projects on schedule and within budget.
Responsibilities
- Lead all on-site construction activities from mobilization through project completion
- Manage subcontractors and field personnel to ensure safety, quality, and schedule requirements are met
- Coordinate daily site operations, inspections, and project documentation
- Maintain project schedules and proactively address delays or field issues
- Conduct safety meetings and enforce company safety standards
- Partner with project managers, owners, architects, and subcontractors to ensure successful project delivery
- Maintain strong client relationships throughout the project life cycle
- Travel throughout the San Antonio region and surrounding markets as needed
Qualifications
- 5-10+ years of commercial construction superintendent experience
- Experience managing ground-up, remodel, renovation, or tenant improvement projects
- Preferred experience involving:
- Fast food / QSR construction
- Restaurant construction
- Retail construction
- Multi-site or rollout programs
- Strong knowledge of construction scheduling, safety practices, and quality control
- Ability to lead subcontractors and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel
