Your new company Join an established multidisciplinary engineering consultancy with a strong portfolio of healthcare and higher education projects. Due to continued growth, they are looking for an Electrical Engineer to join their team in New York.
Your new role You will work on the design and delivery of electrical systems across healthcare, higher education, commercial and institutional projects. Your responsibilities will include power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, communications and emergency power systems. You will take ownership of your own projects, prepare calculations and construction documents, coordinate with other disciplines and work directly with architects, contractors and clients. As you progress, there will also be opportunities to mentor junior engineers and contribute to the growth of the electrical practice. What you'll need to succeed
- 4-8 years of electrical building design experience
- MEP consulting or A/E background
- Healthcare or higher education project experience preferred
- Experience with power distribution, lighting and emergency power systems
- Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit
- Knowledge of NEC and applicable building codes
- EIT preferred, with progression toward PE
- SKM, ETAP or EasyPower experience is beneficial
