We are looking for a Systems Engineer to support and enhance core enterprise infrastructure in San Jose, California. This Long-term Contract position is ideal for someone with strong experience administering Windows-based environments, identity platforms, and messaging systems. The role focuses on maintaining reliable system performance, strengthening access management, and helping teams resolve complex infrastructure issues across the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Administer and optimize Active Directory services to support secure user access, group policies, and directory health.
- Maintain Microsoft Windows Server environments, including configuration, patching, performance monitoring, and issue resolution.
- Support Azure Active Directory operations such as identity synchronization, access controls, and authentication management.
- Manage Microsoft Exchange administration tasks to help ensure stable mail flow, mailbox availability, and system reliability.
- Investigate infrastructure incidents and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime and recurring technical problems.
- Collaborate with internal teams to plan, test, and deploy system improvements that strengthen platform stability and security.
- Document system configurations, operational procedures, and technical changes to support maintainability and knowledge sharing.
- Hands-on experience administering Active Directory in an enterprise environment.
- Strong background supporting Microsoft Windows Server platforms.
- Practical knowledge of Azure Active Directory, including identity and access management concepts.
- Experience working with Microsoft Exchange administration and support.
- Ability to troubleshoot infrastructure issues across server, directory, and authentication systems.
- Familiarity with documenting technical environments and following operational best practices.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
