Our esteemed manufacturing client is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Accountant to join their team in Des Moines, Iowa. This is an "In-office" role that promises to be both impactful and fulfilling. As part of this role, hands-on account reconciliations, in-depth work in the Income Statement, Balance Sheet, and executing Journal Entries are essential tasks. The hired individual will manage intercompany transactions and take charge of the "use tax" process. Primary Roles & Responsibilities:
- Fixed assets accounting • Month-end close operations • Creating and posting Journal Entries • Managing Sales & Use tax • Conducting Balance Sheet account reconciliations • Performing Bank Reconciliations • Handling Intercompany transactions • Capital approval and tracking • Working with ERP systems (experience with AS400 is a plus) • Maintaining and enhancing Internal controls
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, applicants must have a minimum of 3 years' experience within a manufacturing accounting environment.
