Are you a graduate or early-career accounting professional looking to launch or grow your career? Robert Half is actively partnering with organizations throughout the Capital Region that are seeking motivated Entry-Level and Junior Accountants to join their teams. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field who are looking to gain hands-on experience, build their technical skills, and advance within the accounting profession.
What You'll Do:
- Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.
- Prepare and enter journal entries.
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and general ledger accounts.
- Support month-end and year-end close processes.
- Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.
- Assist with account analysis and financial reporting.
- Research and resolve accounting discrepancies.
- Process invoices, payments, and expense reports.
- Work with Excel and accounting software to organize and analyze financial data.
- Partner with accounting and finance teams on special projects and process improvements.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Internship experience, accounting coursework, or 0-3 years of accounting experience preferred.
- Understanding of basic accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to learn quickly and work effectively in a team environment.
- Eagerness to develop professionally and grow within an accounting career.
Preferred Qualifications
- Internship, co-op, or part-time accounting experience.
- Experience with ERP or accounting software.
- Exposure to accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, or general ledger activities.
- CPA-track candidates are encouraged to apply.
