Accounts Payable Specialist Contract-to-Hire | Northeast Indianapolis | $22-$23/hr
Robert Half is partnering with a growing company on the northeast side of Indianapolis to hire an Accounts Payable Specialist. This contract-to-hire opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, values accuracy, and has experience managing the full-cycle accounts payable process.
What You'll Do
- Process high-volume invoices accurately and efficiently
- Match invoices to purchase orders and receiving documentation
- Code invoices to the appropriate general ledger accounts
- Prepare and process check runs, ACH payments, and wire transfers
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve invoice discrepancies
- Respond to vendor inquiries and maintain vendor records
- Assist with month-end close activities and AP reporting
- Support audit requests and accounting projects as needed
- Partner with internal departments to resolve purchasing and payment issues
What You'll Do

What We're Looking For
- 2+ years of Accounts Payable experience
- Strong understanding of full-cycle AP processes
- Experience working within an ERP system
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Experience processing high-volume invoices
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Sage Intacct, Quickbooks Online, NetSuite, or Microsoft Dynamics
