Staff Accountant – Transition into Public Accounting

What You’ll Do
- Prepare and post journal entries
- Perform account reconciliations and maintain general ledger accuracy
- Assist with month-end and year-end close activities
- Support financial statement preparation and related schedules
- Work directly with clients to gather information, answer questions, and provide accounting support
- Assist with client accounting projects and ongoing financial reporting needs
- Research discrepancies and help resolve accounting issues in a timely manner
- Collaborate with internal team members and clients to ensure high-quality service and deliverables
- Contribute to process improvement efforts and support special projects as needed

Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 1–2 years of corporate accounting experience
- Hands-on experience with: Account reconciliations, General ledger accounting, Journal entries, Month-end close support
- Strong understanding of core accounting principles
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Interest in moving into public accounting
- Professional, polished, and comfortable working directly with clients
Preferred:
- Exposure to financial statement preparation
- Experience in a fast-paced accounting environment
- CPA track or interest in pursuing CPA, a plus
