In this role, you will visit customer sites to replace existing firewall hardware with preconfigured UniFi equipment, confirm stable network connectivity, and capture accurate installation details. This position is well suited for a technician who is comfortable with on-site network hardware work, cable connections, and working alongside remote support resources when needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Install preconfigured UniFi firewall devices at assigned locations and ensure all physical connections are properly secured.
  • Remove or disconnect existing firewall equipment as needed and complete the on-site cutover to the new device.
  • Validate internet and network connectivity after installation by checking that critical connections are functioning as expected.
  • Perform basic troubleshooting during deployment and coordinate with remote technical support to resolve issues that require additional guidance.
  • Document the completed installation, including device status, connection results, and any site-specific observations.
  • Follow the scheduled deployment plan for each location and maintain a detail-oriented on-site presence while completing the work.
  • Handle cabling and equipment placement carefully to support a clean, organized, and reliable installation.
  • Experience working with Ubiquiti UniFi products in a deployment or support capacity.
  • Practical knowledge of firewall technologies, including installation, replacement, and basic configuration verification.
  • Familiarity with SonicWall or similar network security appliances.

  • Comfortable troubleshooting connectivity issues and verifying successful network service after hardware changes.
  • Strong attention to detail for recording installation outcomes and identifying problems accurately.
  • Ability to work independently at customer locations while collaborating with remote support teams as needed.
