Location: Okemos, MI Total Earnings: $21 to $60 per hour. Your pay has two parts: a guaranteed base hourly rate plus commission on what you sell. Expected hours: 32.0 – 45.0 per week Our client is seeking a polished, customer-focused Sales Associate to represent their premium line of hot tubs and outdoor furniture. This role is responsible for delivering an elevated customer experience, building strong product knowledge, and guiding customers through the sales process with professionalism and confidence. The ideal candidate is consultative, relationship-driven, and comfortable selling high-value products in a retail showroom environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet customers and create a welcoming, high-touch showroom experience
- Engage with customers to understand their lifestyle, space, design preferences, and budget
- Present and demonstrate premium hot tubs and outdoor furniture in a compelling and knowledgeable manner
- Educate customers on product features, materials, benefits, care, and available customization options
- Guide customers through the selection process, including product comparisons, upgrades, and accessory options
- Build strong customer relationships that encourage repeat business and referrals
- Stay current on product specifications, inventory availability, promotions, financing options, and competitor offerings
- Partner with team members and leadership to meet individual and showroom sales goals

Qualifications
- 2+ years of retail, showroom, or commission-based sales experience preferred
- Experience selling premium, luxury, or high-ticket products strongly preferred
- Strong consultative selling and customer service skills
- Ability to build rapport quickly and provide personalized recommendations
- Professional communication and presentation skills
- Confidence discussing high-value purchases with customers
- Results-driven with a proven ability to meet or exceed sales goals
Preferred Background
- Experience in outdoor living, patio furniture, home furnishings, appliances, pools/spas, jewelry, or other premium product categories
- Familiarity with design-focused or lifestyle-based selling
