We are looking for an experienced Recruiter to support high-volume hiring for a steel/manufacturing company in Baytown, Texas 77523. This contract position is ideal for someone who can quickly identify strong candidates, manage a steady recruiting pipeline, and make hiring recommendations in an onsite environment. The recruiter will play a key role in improving candidate quality by sourcing effectively, conducting thoughtful interviews, and moving applicants with relevant experience through the process with speed and accuracy.
Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end recruitment efforts for hourly and other positions with frequent hiring needs.
- Build and maintain candidate pipelines through proactive sourcing, outreach, and ongoing talent engagement.
- Screen applicants carefully to distinguish top performers from individuals who may not meet role expectations.
- Conduct interviews, assess experience and skills, and provide clear feedback to hiring stakeholders.
- Coordinate interview scheduling, candidate communication, and follow-up throughout the hiring cycle.
- Manage job openings and applicant activity within the applicant tracking system, ensuring records remain organized and current.
- Partner with hiring managers to understand workforce demands, hiring priorities, and role requirements.
- Present a shortlist of candidates with relevant experience for review and support timely hiring decisions.
- Proven experience handling full-cycle recruiting from sourcing through offer stage.
- Background recruiting for manufacturing, industrial, or other high-turnover hourly workforces.
- Strong interviewing skills with the ability to evaluate fit, reliability, and job readiness.
- Hands-on experience using an applicant tracking system to manage recruiting workflows.
- Ability to source candidates through multiple channels and maintain an active talent pipeline.
- Strong organizational and communication skills in a fast-paced onsite recruiting environment.
- Availability to work onsite Monday through Friday with flexible hours
