Accounting Specialist | Irving, TX Join a growing Irving accounting team as a Senior AP Payment Specialist. Own accurate, timely payments, compliance, and coordination across finance. Ideal candidate has hands-on AP expertise, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
Responsibilities:
- Execute payment cycles via check, ACH, and wire
- Administer P-cards, settlements, and employee reimbursements
- Produce aging analyses and payment reports for cash planning
- Resolve exceptions including stop payments and reissues
- Assemble wire packages and process domestic/foreign payments
- Coordinate check release, mailing, and remittance documentation
- Investigate uncashed/expired payments for escheatment
- Validate vendor banking details to reduce fraud risk
- Partner with AP, Finance, Accounting, and Treasury on audits, process improvements, and special projects

HYBRID - WORK FROM HOME ON FRIDAY
- High school diploma required.
- At least 3 years of accounts payable experience in a high-volume or deadline-driven environment.
- Minimum of 1 year of direct payment processing experience, including wire transfers and foreign currency transactions.
- Strong accuracy, attention to detail, and commitment to maintaining complete documentation.
- Effective organizational, time management, and prioritization skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks at once.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills for cross-functional collaboration and issue resolution.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook, as well as comfort using web-based business systems.
- Exposure to an ERP and intermediate working knowledge of Excel is required.
- Associate degree in accounting or a related field, along with Oracle or CashPro experience, is a plus.
