Akkodis is seeking a Category Manager for a Contract with a client in Kennett Square, PA(Remote). The ideal candidate will lead the sourcing and supplier relationship strategy for complex technical materials and services to ensure quality, availability, and cost efficiency. Rate Range: $80/Hour to $85/Hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Category Manager Responsibilities include:
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies for complex technical materials and service categories.
- Manage supplier relationships and serve as the primary liaison with current and prospective vendors.
- Lead contract negotiations and drive cost reduction initiatives while maintaining quality and service levels.
- Partner with engineering, operations, and business stakeholders to align supply chain strategies with organizational needs.
- Resolve complex commercial and supplier-related issues in collaboration with Supply Operations teams.
- Identify and implement process improvement initiatives to enhance supply chain efficiency, performance, and inventory management.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business, Procurement, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in Supply Chain, Strategic Sourcing, Procurement, or Category Management.
- Proven experience managing supplier relationships, contract negotiations, and cost reduction initiatives for complex technical materials or services.
- Strong ability to collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders and lead supply chain process improvement initiatives to drive operational efficiency.

Pay Details: $80.00 to $85.00 per hour
