About the Role:
The Principal/Senior Software Engineer will be responsible for creating scalable, robust features and processes that leverage cloud technologies at their core. As an integral member of a cross-functional agile team, the Principal/Senior Software Engineer will participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle from requirements definition with Product Management to acceptance testing with a Quality Engineer to maintaining solutions in production environments. By providing leadership and guidance in development best practices, the Principal/Senior Software Engineer will help ensure the team produces high-quality and well-designed solutions. The Principal/Senior Software Engineer will learn and implement new technologies on the job, and will teach and mentor others.
Job Duties:
- Collaborate with team members to produce proven scalable, performant, and maintainable solutions
- Participate in design and code reviews
- Investigate and resolve issues in development, test, and production environments
- Implement new technologies and techniques to meet business requirements

Qualifications:
- Computer Science, Software Engineering, or similar degree, or equivalent industry experience
- 5+ years relevant industry experience
- Expertise with (or demonstrated ability to learn) our core development tools & technologies: React, CSS, Git, Javascript, AJAX, Jest, Yarn
- Familiarity with several tools/technologies in our larger development stack: Python, C#, DynamoDB, Redshift, Snowflake, Terraform, Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform
- Experience with Agile software development
- Working knowledge of software design patterns and anti-patterns
- Excellent interpersonal & communication skills and an ability to build strong relationships with different personalities
- Highly motivated, collaborative, and possessing an entrepreneurial mindset
- Flexible, agile, and open minded with a positive attitude
- Able to plan work to meet project timelines with high attention to detail & accuracy
- Excellent organizational & prioritization skills
