Beverage manufacturing company is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee daily accounting operations and support the financial health of the organization. This role will be responsible for managing month-end close, financial reporting, inventory accounting, cost accounting activities, and leading a small accounting team. The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and experienced in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage the month-end and year-end close processes.
- Prepare and review financial statements and supporting schedules.
- Oversee general ledger activity, account reconciliations, and journal entries.
- Manage inventory accounting, cost accounting, and manufacturing-related financial transactions.
- Monitor product costing, inventory valuations, and variance analysis.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow reporting.
- Coordinate external audits, tax preparation, and regulatory reporting.
- Develop and improve accounting processes and internal controls.
- Supervise and mentor accounting staff.
- Partner with operations, supply chain, and leadership teams to support business objectives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership responsibilities.
- Experience in manufacturing, food & beverage, consumer products, or a related industry preferred.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
- Experience with inventory and cost accounting.
- Advanced Excel skills and ERP system experience.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
Preferred Qualifications
- CPA designation preferred.
- Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or Sage.
- Background supporting multi-location or high-volume manufacturing operations.
