Staff Accountant (Contract)

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join our growing accounting team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting daily accounting operations, month-end close activities, financial reporting, account reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance. Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries accurately and timely
• Perform monthly bank, credit card, and balance sheet reconciliations
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts
• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable activities as needed
• Analyze financial data and identify discrepancies
• Prepare financial reports and assist with management reporting
• Assist with audits and provide supporting documentation
• Track and maintain fixed asset schedules
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures
• Support budgeting and forecasting activities
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve accounting issues
• Assist with special projects and process improvement initiatives

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 2+ years of accounting experience preferred
• Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting principles
• Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, QuickBooks, or Sage preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and formulas
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
