In House Counsel - Los Angeles, CA We are hiring an experienced In House Counsel for a skilled nursing provider with multiple facilities. This is a full-time leadership role with real impact.
Responsibilities
- Advise leadership and facility teams on regulatory, licensing and compliance matters
- Manage litigation and claims and coordinate with outside counsel
- Draft and negotiate contracts, leases, vendor and payer agreements
- Support survey responses, CDPH matters and corporate transactions
- Develop policies and train staff on legal and compliance topics
Qualifications
- JD and active California Bar membership in good standing
- 5+ years of legal experience; healthcare, long-term care or SNF experience strongly preferred
- Knowledge of CMS, CDPH, HIPAA and elder care regulations
- Excellent judgment, writing and negotiation skills
- Able to work independently as a trusted advisor to leadership
