We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join a growing organization. This position is ideal for a Senior Accountant who thrives in a hands-on environment and takes pride in producing accurate financial information. The role will work closely with finance leadership and business partners to support reporting, strengthen controls, and improve accounting operations.
Responsibilities:
- Direct the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing cycle by preparing and reviewing journal entries, accruals, and supporting schedules.
- Examine financial activity and perform variance analysis to identify discrepancies, explain trends, and improve reporting accuracy.
- Complete and maintain detailed balance sheet reconciliations with clear documentation and timely resolution of outstanding items.
- Uphold accounting standards, internal controls, and established procedures to promote compliance and consistency across the function.
- Manage cash-related accounting activities, including daily monitoring and reconciliation of bank and cash accounts.
- Reconcile intercompany balances and transactions while coordinating with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate recording.
- Assist with sales and use tax reporting requirements, including preparation of filings and related account support.
- Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and planning efforts by providing financial data, analysis, and insight.
- Identify opportunities to streamline accounting workflows and implement process improvements that support growth and efficiency.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- 8+ years of progressive accounting experience in roles with increasing responsibility.
- Strong working knowledge of general ledger accounting, month-end close, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including PivotTables, formulas, and data analysis techniques.
- Background working in manufacturing, distribution, or industrial environments is preferred.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities with the capacity to manage multiple priorities effectively.
