Our client is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead a major ERP implementation initiative with a strong focus on finance and accounting operations. This role offers a hybrid schedule and will serve as the bridge between Finance and IT, driving the successful transition from a legacy ERP platform to SAP ECC while ensuring project milestones, data integrity, and financial process requirements are met throughout the implementation lifecycle. The ideal candidate will have prior experience managing ERP implementations involving general ledger and subledger migrations and will be comfortable working closely with accounting, finance, and technical teams during the discovery and deployment phases. This is an immediate need with a preference for local candidates who can be onsite approximately 60% of the time.
Responsibilities
- Lead project management activities for a large-scale ERP implementation initiative.
- Partner with Finance, Accounting, IT, and external vendors to ensure project objectives are achieved.
- Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, milestones, risk logs, and status reporting.
- Coordinate discovery, planning, testing, deployment, and post-go-live activities.
- Oversee financial data migration efforts, including general ledger and subledger conversions.
- Ensure data integrity and accuracy throughout data cleansing, validation, and migration processes.
- Facilitate communication between business stakeholders and technical teams.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks, and drive issue resolution.
- Support user acceptance testing (UAT), process documentation, and change management activities.
- Ensure implementation activities align with finance and accounting requirements.
- MUST HAVE: Demonstrated experience with GL, subledger, and financial data conversion activities.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Business, or related field preferred.
- Project management experience leading ERP implementations.
- Prior experience managing finance-focused ERP implementations required.
- Experience migrating data from legacy ERP platforms to SAP environments.
- Knowledge of SAP ECC 6.0 strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of accounting processes and financial reporting requirements.
- Proven ability to bridge communication between Finance and IT teams.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- PMP certification is a plus.
